Oxford Ukraine Hub Summer School

The Oxford Ukraine Hub will host its first interdisciplinary Ukraine Summer School on 22-26 September 2025.

The school will explore aspects of Ukrainian history, politics, and culture, with a view to better understanding Ukraine's role in European and global developments today. Topics will include security and warfare, reconstruction and state consolidation, energy politics and environmental transformations, and the cultural impact of war. The final day of the summer school will be made up of a one-day, in-person workshop with some of Ukraine’s leading human rights actors, writers, and academics including, among others, Stanislav Aseyev, Maksym Butkevych, and Oksana Kis.

We invite applications from postgraduate students with an interest in contemporary Ukraine. The Oxford Ukraine Hub will select eight successful applicants. Participants will receive free accommodation and subsidised meals in Oxford from 22-26 September.
